Privacy policy

D2Dungeons.Report shows statistics built from public Destiny 2 data. We keep what's needed for that and nothing else: no accounts, no cookies, no analytics, no advertising.

Last updated 10 October 2026

In short

  • We only use public Destiny 2 data from Bungie's official API, the same data Bungie shows on Bungie.net.
  • There are no accounts, no sign-in, no cookies, no analytics and no ads.
  • Your settings stay in your own browser.
  • You can ask us to remove your data at any time.

Who we are

D2Dungeons.Report is a non-commercial fan project run by Braaaytje, an individual, not a company. It is not affiliated with Bungie. For anything about this policy or your data, contact Braaaytje via Ko-fi.

What we collect

When someone looks up a Guardian, we request that player's public data from Bungie's API and store it:

  • Identity: Bungie Name, platform and membership ID.
  • Characters: class, Power level, emblem, and characters deleted since.
  • Dungeon activity: the history of dungeon activities, and the Post Game Carnage Report of each completion. A carnage report lists everyone in the fireteam with their name and stats (kills, deaths, weapons, time), so players in your fireteams are stored too, as they are on Bungie.net.
  • Triumphs: whether dungeon triumphs (solo, solo flawless, contest) are earned, and their counters.
  • Sherpa checks: to find first clears we also read the public dungeon history of the player's teammates.

We also store game data that isn't about people, such as dungeon definitions and the weekly rotation.

What we don't collect

  • No accounts or passwords. We don't use Bungie sign-in, so we can never see your private data or inventory.
  • No cookies, analytics, tracking pixels, fingerprinting or advertising.
  • We don't record which visitor looked up which Guardian, and our application logs don't contain IP addresses.

Your browser

If you change a setting, it is saved in your browser's local storage under d2d-preferences. The time the support message was last shown is kept under d2d-support-shown, so it appears at most once a day. Neither ever leaves your device; clearing site data removes them.

Why we use it

To provide the site: profiles, records, leaderboards, sherpa counts and rotations, all built from public game data. Where data protection law (such as the GDPR) applies, our basis is a legitimate interest in providing statistics about publicly available Destiny 2 activity. We don't sell or rent data, and we don't use it for advertising or profiling.

Third parties

  • Bungie is the source of all game data. Some images (emblems, icons, artwork) load straight from Bungie's servers, so Bungie receives your IP address and browser details for those requests, as with any site that shows Destiny artwork. See Bungie's privacy policy.
  • The Nightfall.Report link icon in the footer loads from nightfall.report.
  • Ko-fi is only involved if you click the support link; tips are handled entirely by Ko-fi.
  • Our hosting provider processes network traffic (including IP addresses) to deliver the site.

How long we keep it

Stored game data is kept while the site runs, because leaderboards and records are built from it. Daily backups are kept for 7 days, then deleted automatically. Removal requests are carried out in the live database straight away and disappear from backups within those 7 days.

Your rights

You can ask what we store about your account, ask us to correct it, or ask us to remove it. Send your Bungie Name to Braaaytje via Ko-fi.

On removal we delete your profile data (characters, activity history, emblem) and replace your name with an anonymous label in stored fireteam records. Other players' runs keep their results, because those belong to them too. Public data can be read again if your profile is looked up later; setting your activity history to private on Bungie.net prevents that.

If you are in the EU or UK, you also have the right to object and to complain to your data protection authority.

Children

The site has no accounts and collects nothing from visitors. Game data about any player is public data published by Bungie. Requests on behalf of a child are handled the same way as any other request.

Changes

If we change how data is handled, we update this page and its date. Significant changes are noted on the site.
